The Germans arrive in Kowel, Poland in June of 1941, and from that point on, there is next to no escape for the Jewish people. We follow two young, Jewish girls, desperate attempts to save family, and each other, in the midst of a hopeless situation. They find strength, in each other, and in those willing to risk all to save them. Yet, in the end, we see that ultimate sacrifice, isn't always enough to overcome ultimate evil. And, that love can sometimes find its way across time.
